We are located right on the Mississippi River in a quiet country setting, right in the heart of Bluff Country. Our Deluxe 2 unit Lodgehouse is enjoyed equally by couples looking for a quiet getaway or families that enjoy boating, canoeing, hiking, biking and fishing, as well as hunting enthusiasts and nature lovers. We invite you to enjoy the warm and cozy "Laughing Fish" Lodgehouse and make it your home away from home.
Bedrooms in Unit # 1
Both the "Red Room" and the "Canopy Room" have King-sized Beds, chairs, antique dressers and mirrors. The Den/Bedroom, not shown here, has one Twin-sized Bed, dresser, computer desk and chair as well as a computer for your use.

Common Areas of Unit # 1
The Great Room and Wet Bar/Kitchen areas in this open floor plan are finished with Tongue and Groove Knotty Pine Ceilings and Walls, for a warm and rustic feel. There are books, games and puzzles for your enjoyment, as well as a thermostat to control your own heating and air conditioning. Comfortably accommodates 5 persons.

Our Deluxe walkout unit has 3BR's. Two with King-sized Beds. The 3rd bedroom doubles as a computer Den and has 1 Twin bed. The common areas of the open floor plan include a fully equipped Kitchen/Wet Bar, Great Room with stone Fireplace, Mud room with Washer and Dryer, and large Bathroom, Satellite TV & WIFI.
2 night minimum stay is required.

Our Deluxe upper unit is available to be rented only in conjunction with rental of Unit #1 for those needing a bit more space. It has 1 additional Bedroom with King-sized Bed, 1-1/2 additional Bathrooms, an open floor plan with well equipped Kitchen, Breakfast Nook, Dining Room, Great Room with stone fireplace and Laundry/Mud room with Washer and dryer. 1 week minimum stay is required for the rental of both units.

Location
By water, we are just off the main channel of the Mississippi River at mile marker 747.9 in a quiet, deep water, secondary channel where you can watch the barges navigate in river in the not too far distance.
By land, we are just off WI Hwy. 35, The Great River Road, about 4 miles south of historic Alma, WI, where you will find numerous quaint shops and restaurants.
The Mississippi River-Pool # 5
This beautiful stretch of the River has many great Fishing spots and abundance of wildlife including Eagles, Pelicans, Sandhill Cranes, migrating Tundra Swans, Herons, Egrets and many more. With it's nice sandy bottom and large number of sandbars with great sandy beaches, it is the perfect place for fishing, swimming, water sports, picnicking, exploring, birdwatching or just relaxing.
Dock
Our 8' X 40' Dock is a great place from which to Fish, relax under our large shade umbrella, watch a Sunset, or tie up your boat for the evening. Optional Covered Boat Slip is available for rental.
